Ask The Experts...

Arts Council, England in partnership with The National Lottery are supporting ‘Ask An Expert’, a free, online activity for you to get involved in!

The Ask An Expert initiative is offering a new way for people to find out more about the Roundhouse and it’s place in the industrial story, from those who know it best!

We are inviting you to send in your questions for our local young people to ask, during a series of recorded interviews with some of our most knowledgeable team members.

We have an incredibly diverse team at The Roundhouse made up of; Engineers, Boilersmiths, Signalmen, Guardsman, Firemen, Ex-Miners, Historians, Museum Archivists and Volunteers. All passionate about their subject and with a lifetime of hands-on experience in the railway industry.

Ever wondered what it was like to be a fireman, shovelling coal on a red hot steam engine? Or wondered how do you become a train driver? Maybe you are interested in engineering and invention and can challenge our team with a technical question? Whether you are interested in local history or the international story, we want to  hear from you!
We are welcoming questions related to:

Questions can be submitted via the online form, direct from our Facebook Page or send us an email to Email: learning@barrowhill.com Deadline for questions is 30th July 2020.
The recorded interviews will be available for you to watch on our web page as soon as they are completed, so please keep checking back!
